The Board is responsible to the Minister for Finance for all aspects of the administration of all Super SA schemes except for the management and investment of funds. It is made up of a presiding member, two members appointed by the Governor and two members elected by Super SA members.

Super SA Board members are:

Philip JacksonMr Philip Jackson

Presiding Member, Super SA Board
Appointed by the Governor until 8 September 2013.

Mr Jackson is a lawyer, and before leaving the public service in 2005 he worked in the Crown Solicitor's Office for 25 years.

His past appointments include serving in several positions in the health sector, and most recently as the Presiding Member of the Hills Area Health Advisory Council Incorporated.

Virginia DeeganMs Virginia Deegan

Appointed by the Governor until 11 July 2015.

Director Infrastructure, Property & Technology at The University of Adelaide, A Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) and a Member of State Procurement Board.

Ms Deegan was reappointed for a further three year term on 12 July 2012.

Kevin CantleyMr Kevin Cantley

Appointed by the Governor until 11 July 2015.

General Manager of the South Australian Government Financing Authority (SAFA), Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) and Certified Finance Treasury Professional (Senior) of the Finance and Treasury Association.   

Mr Cantley was reappointed for a further three year term on 12 July 2012.

Jan McMahonMs Jan McMahon

Member elected representative until 1 October 2015.

General Secretary of the Public Service Association (PSA); Director of Funds SA and the Savings and Loans Credit Union; Chairperson Health Partners; Executive Member of SA Unions; a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD); and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees.
